How to obtain a gorilla tracking permit Uganda: Most tourists into the Pearl of Africa are mainly interested in the gorilla trekking adventure. A trip to Uganda is considered incomplete when you don’t include gorilla trekking in either Mgahinga gorilla or Bwindi impenetrable forest national park on your package. A mountain gorilla tracking permit is usually obtained only from the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) headquarters in Kampala.

Mountain gorillas can be tracked in Bwindi impenetrable forest national park in any of the four sectors, that is, Rushaga, Ruhija, Nkuringo, Buhoma, and Mgahinga gorilla national park in the Nyakagezi family.
