Tour Plan
Arrive at Entebbe International Airport where you’ll be met by your safari guide and transferred to your hotel in Kampala. Depending on your arrival time, explore the vibrant city or relax after your flight.

After breakfast, depart Kampala and drive west through Uganda’s rolling tea plantations and rural villages towards Fort Portal. Arrive at your lodge near Kibale Forest in time for lunch and a leisurely afternoon.

Rise early for an exciting chimpanzee trekking adventure in Kibale Forest known as the primate capital of East Africa. Trek with an expert ranger through the dense forest to find a troop of habituated chimpanzees and spend an hour observing them up close.
In the afternoon, visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for a guided walk along a community eco-trail rich with monkeys, birds, and swamp vegetation.

After breakfast, drive south through the scenic crater lakes region to Queen Elizabeth National Park, famous for its tree-climbing lions, elephants, hippos, and diverse birdlife.
Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch and an evening game drive in the Kasenyi plains for your first taste of classic African safari wildlife viewing.

Start your day with an early morning game drive to look for lions, elephants, buffaloes, and Uganda kobs. After lunch, enjoy a relaxing boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel one of Africa’s best wildlife boat trips to see hippos, crocodiles, and a huge variety of water birds.

After an early breakfast, transfer to the nearby Kalinzu Forest Reserve for another unique chimpanzee trekking experience. Kalinzu is famous for its high chimpanzee population and scenic trails.
After your trek, drive south through beautiful terraced hills to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. Check in at your lodge and rest up for your gorilla encounter!

Today is the highlight of your African vacation safari! After an early breakfast, report to the park headquarters for a briefing. Set off with your ranger guide into Bwindi’s ancient forest to track a habituated mountain gorilla family. Trekking can take 2 to 6 hours, depending on where the gorillas are.
Once you find them, spend a magical hour observing the gorillas  watching them feed, play, and bond with their young. Return to your lodge to celebrate this once in a lifetime encounter!

After breakfast, check out and drive back to Entebbe through the scenic countryside, with lunch en route and plenty of photo stops.
