Continue to a local community where you can interact with residents and learn about their daily lives. Depending on the community visit arranged, you may participate in traditional crafts such as basket weaving and paper-bead making.

In the afternoon, head to the Kazinga Channel for a boat cruise. The channel connects Lakes Edward and George and provides excellent opportunities to see hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes and numerous water birds along the shores.

Day 3: Game Drive & Katwe Salt Lake Cultural Experience

Wake up early for a morning game drive through Queen Elizabeth National Park. Explore the savannah in search of lions, elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, waterbucks and other wildlife.

After the game drive and breakfast, visit Katwe Salt Lake, where local communities have traditionally harvested salt for generations. A local guide will explain the salt-mining process and how this activity supports the livelihoods of people living around the lake.

Continue with a Katwe village experience, where you can visit a traditional homestead, learn about local food preparation and interact with community members.
