Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your guide and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may choose to unwind with an optional visit to the Entebbe Botanical Gardens or enjoy a relaxing sunset cruise on Lake Victoria. This first night offers a gentle introduction to Uganda’s warm hospitality and lush environment.

After breakfast, your journey begins with a scenic drive through the countryside toward Kibale Forest National Park. The route passes through tea plantations, crater lakes, and traditional villages, offering a glimpse of rural life in western Uganda. You’ll arrive in the Fort Portal region in time for lunch and continue to your lodge nestled near the rainforest. Relax and enjoy the sounds of nature as you prepare for chimp trekking the next day.

Today is an exciting day as you head into Kibale Forest for an unforgettable chimpanzee tracking experience. Guided by expert rangers, you'll follow chimp families in their natural habitat, observing their behavior up close. The forest is also home to other primates and over 370 bird species. In the afternoon, take a guided walk through the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a community-run initiative that supports local conservation and showcases Uganda’s rich biodiversity. This walk offers excellent birding and cultural interaction opportunities. Return to the lodge for a relaxed evening.

After breakfast, you’ll depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s most popular safari destination. Arrive in time for an afternoon game drive across the Kasenyi plains where lions, elephants, buffaloes, and Uganda kobs are commonly seen. Later, enjoy a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel – one of Africa’s densest concentrations of hippos, crocodiles, and aquatic birds. This scenic cruise offers incredible photo opportunities and close-up wildlife encounters.

Today, you’ll journey to the southern Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, renowned for its rare tree-climbing lions. Embark on a game drive through this remote and less-visited region in search of lions lounging in fig trees, as well as elephants, topis, and various bird species. The open savannah, riverine forests, and low visitor numbers make this part of the park feel truly wild. Enjoy the solitude and unique beauty of the Ishasha wilderness.

After breakfast, set off for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, the home of more than half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. The journey winds through rolling hills and remote communities, offering plenty of photographic moments along the way. This is the highlight of your safari! After a briefing at the park headquarters, you’ll set off into the dense jungle with experienced trackers in search of a mountain gorilla family. The trek can take between 2 to 6 hours depending on the group's location, but the reward is incredible – spending one full hour in the presence of a gorilla family, observing their behavior in the wild. It’s an emotional and humbling experience that few people ever forget. After the trek, you’ll receive your gorilla tracking certificate. Optional afternoon activities include a Batwa cultural encounter or guided forest walk. Return to the lodge for your final night in the wilderness.
